Cancellation/Refund/Changes/Pre-Payments:
For bookings made directly with us or through our own website - 
Cancellations/changes must be received no later than 48 hours prior to 2pm on the day of Check-in. If a cancellation is made outside this time, the total amount for the booked accommodation may be charged unless the unit is re-let at the same rate.  All confirmed bookings are held awaiting your arrival and as such will be charged to your credit card at the quoted rate where a cancellation reference has not been sought in terms of the above. Special conditions apply to Group reservations and bookings made through websites other than our own (Please see below for details for Group reservations and refer to the website you have booked through for the cancellation policy displayed there). 
If you have booked through a Third-party website i.e. a site offering rooms on our behalf, then the cancellation must be made through that site and the conditions displayed on that site will apply but normally the first night's accommodation will be charged in the event of any cancellation or change.  
Pre-paid accommodation: In the event of a refund being due for Pre-paid accommodation, in line with the above Cancellation Policy, we will refund the amount paid less 4.5% to cover the transaction/credit card charges
 incurred.

Check-in/Check-out: Check-in is available from 2.00pm on the day of arrival (Although units are often ready earlier than this except for any of our budget 'Last Minute' bookings.  For these Check-in is not prior to 4pm).  Check-out time is 10.00am on the day of departure. Early Check-in and or Late Check-out is by prior arrangement only, may incur additional charges and is not always available.
Payment: Payment for all accommodation, breakfasts, telephone, internet charges etc. must be made at Check-out.  Overdue/Recovery costs may be made if your account is not paid on time.  We accept all major credit cards, EFTPOS and cash but sorry, WE DO NOT ACCEPT CHEQUES as payment on Check-out.  A valid credit card is required at Check-in for security reasons (See Credit card gurantees below), even if payment is by a voucher or is an Arranged Charge-back. 
Guests who cannot provide a valid credit card are required to pay a cash bond equivalent to one night's accommodation.  This can be paid by direct crediting our bank account or by cheque at least 14 days prior to the day of Check-in. The bond will be refunded following a satisfactory inspection of the unit prior to departure.
Amex and Diners cards: Due to the additional costs involved a surcharge of 2% will be added if paying with either of these cards.
General: Visitors are permitted at Managements discretion. The Registered guest is responsible for the behaviour of their visitors at all times.  Visitors must vacate the premises by 10.30pm. Any deliberate or reckless acts that result in damage to the property AND any associated loss of income to the motel will be charged to the Registered guest.
Smoking/Cooking:  All rooms at Airport Christchurch Motel are totally Smoke-free.  Smoking is permitted outside the rooms and away from all open doors, windows and other guests and the ashtrays provided must be used.  In the event of any odours resulting from smoking/cooking, we reserve the right to charge any associated cleaning costs and any resulting loss of income to the Registered guest.
Credit Card Guarantees/All payments:  On line reservations  are confirmed with full payment being made at the time of booking.  For any bookings made by a Travel Agent / Company / i-Site etc., a valid credit card is still required at Check-in as security for any additional charges such as telephone calls, internet charges, breakfasts etc.
GROUP BOOKINGS(See below for definition)/LONG STAY BOOKINGS of 5+ nights/SPECIAL EVENTS: These bookings require a 50% deposit payable at the time of booking with the balance payable 1 calendar month out from the actual date of arrival. The total deposit will be allocated equally to each unit booked if more than 1 is booked and is NON-REFUNDABLE in the event of any cancellation unless it is a minimum of one month prior to the arrival date unless advised otherwise in the booking confirmation
A Group booking is defined as more than one room booked together for a period of two or more nights or a number of rooms (three plus) booked for the same night by the same person.

Airport Transfers: These are provided on the basis of one each way per unit when booked at our Standard rate e.g. In the event of 2 guests staying in a unit and one guest needing to be at or collected from the airport at a different time to another guest, 1 airport transfer applies each way.  We would be happy to arrange a taxi or shuttle for the second guest at their expense but if the shuttle vehicle is  going to the airport with another guest and there is space available at the time the second guest requires a transfer, they would be welcome to use the service but there would not be a specific trip made.  Outgoing transfers are operated on the hour and the half hour from 7.00am weekdays and from 8.00am, Sat, Sun & Public Holidays.
Courtesy Parking: When parking space permits and guests pre-arrange to leave their vehicle at the motel whilst they are away, this is done on an 'all care no respnsibility' basis.  We DO NOT charge for this service and it usually must be limited to a maximum of 14 days.  Any transfers outside the hours of operation of our own shuttle would not be included.  Currently we offer this service for guests staying with us either 1 night on their way out OR 1 night on their way back.  Please ensure that you confirm availability when making your booking.  If booking on-line, please either call or email us first to confirm availability prior to making your booking.
